We recently caught up with our Group Technology Director, Helen Thompson about her journey through the world of Technology and life at DFS; here’s what she had to say…

Say hello to Helen

“I’ve been a proud member of DFS for an incredible 11-year journey and, during this time, I’ve had the opportunity of experiencing tremendous personal and professional growth. It all began with the Video Chat Sales team and, from there, I’ve been on an exciting adventure that took me through departments such as Text Chat, Telephone Sales and Customer Service. Through hard work and dedication, I’ve now transitioned into a new and fulfilling role as the Quality Evaluation Manager for our Central Operating Teams.

In my current role, my primary focus is making sure that we deliver world-class customer experiences across all of our communication channels; across live chat, telephone, social media, and email campaigns. It brings me immense job satisfaction to work closely with our front-line teams, providing them with valuable insights and guidance on how to consistently deliver exceptional customer service. Watching our team members grow and improve their understanding of what makes a great customer experience fills me with such a sense of pride and accomplishment.

One of the aspects that excites me the most in my role is the limitless opportunities to make a positive impact on our customer’s lives. By continuously refining and enhancing our service quality, we have the power to create lasting impressions and build strong relationships with our valued customers. Each day presents new challenges and opportunities to innovate, and it’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a team that is dedicated to excellence.

As I reflect on my journey at DFS, I can’t help but feel grateful for the supportive and inspiring team that surrounds me. We work collaboratively, fueling each other’s growth and constantly pushing boundaries. The culture at DFS fosters creativity and allows for personal and professional development, making it an environment where everyone thrives, and everyone is welcome.

I can genuinely say, joining DFS has been the best decision of my career, and I’m eager to continue contributing to the company’s success while being part of an organisation that genuinely cares about its team members and customers. I’m excited about the bright future ahead and the endless possibilities that lie in front of us.
